It’s a beautiful day to be a neighbor.
Today’s Family Wins devotional reflects on 2 Thessalonians 2:1-2 — Paul urging believers not to become easily unsettled or alarmed concerning the coming of the Lord.
Setting dates for Christ’s return has always been a popular pastime — and always a distraction. Preoccupation with when tends to obscure what and why, and it’s more exciting to speculate about the unknown than to actually live in light of what we do know. John Milton captured it well in verse: the Lord will come, and not be slow, with righteousness and truth as His forerunners, to set every wrong thing right. You may not know the day. But Scripture is clear on the response: be prepared, be faithful, be blameless, be obedient, be expectant. That’s enough to keep any of us busy until He returns.

A godly husband isn’t made in a day. Neither is a godly wife, a godly father, or a godly mother. They’re made in moments like this — one verse, one choice, one day at a time.
