In daily spiritual battles, there is a special breed of athlete ready to answer God’s call. An ordinary man with an extraordinary desire to do God’s will. Forged by adversity, he stands alongside Jesus’ finest disciples to serve the Holy Spirit and usher in God’s Kingdom on earth. I am that athlete, and my first battlefield is my own home.
My Tetrahedron is a symbol of honor and heritage. It embodies the trust of those I have sworn to mentor and influence in God’s name. By wearing the Tetrahedron, I accept the responsibility of my calling. It is a privilege I must earn every day. My loyalty to God, Country, and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to my neighbors, always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility, I value others above myself. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men. Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast. My word is my bond.
Before I lead any team, I lead my own household. I do solemnly resolve before God to take full responsibility for my wife and my children. I will love her as Christ loved the Church, and I will lay down my life for her before I ever ask her to lay down hers for me. I will disciple my children in the Word of God, teaching them to love Him with all their heart, all their mind, and all their strength. I will train them to honor authority and to walk in responsibility, not entitlement. When I fail them, I will own it, repent of it, and ask their forgiveness. When they fail me, I will forgive them as I have been forgiven. My home is the first Kingdom outpost I am called to defend, and I will not abandon my post.
I will lead and be led with humble obedience. Instead of seeking my own way, I will seek God’s way. I will serve God by serving others, starting with the two who call me husband and father. I will love others genuinely and consider them better than myself.
I will prayerfully take charge, lead my teammates, and accomplish my call. I lead by example in all situations. I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. I will be mentally stronger than my enemies, and stronger still than my own excuses. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength. I am never out of the fight, not on the field, and not in my own living room.
The MindWolves pack demands discipline. We expect innovation. Lives are at stake and depend on us, our technical skill, our tactical proficiency, our attention to detail, and the integrity we practice when no one but God is watching. Our training is never complete. We train for spiritual warfare and fight in God’s name and for God’s glory. We work diligently to provide for those entrusted to us, and we confront evil, pursue justice, and love mercy wherever we find them. We stand ready to bring the full spectrum of God’s power to bear in order to achieve our calling. The execution of our duties will be swift when required, yet guided by the very principles we serve to defend.
We will not boast in our wisdom, we will not boast in our might, we will not boast in our riches, but we will boast in this: that we understand and know God, and that He is the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness on earth.
As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.
In God’s name, we will not fail.
