It’s a beautiful day to be a neighbor.
Today’s Family Wins devotional reflects on 1 Thessalonians 3:3 — “No one would be unsettled by these trials, for you know quite well that we are destined for them.”
There’s an Arab proverb F.B. Meyer loved to quote: all sunshine makes the desert. Mining for gold means long hours in uncomfortable surroundings — but once the strike is made, the toil seems a small price to pay. It’s no different in the spiritual life. Certain graces — meekness, gentleness, kindness, humility — simply cannot come to perfection if the sun of prosperity always shines. The sweetest scents are only obtained by pressure. The rarest gems have suffered longest from the cutter’s wheel. And all of it, every bit, is under God’s supervision — nothing happens that hasn’t been appointed with consummate care and foresight.

A godly husband isn’t made in a day. Neither is a godly wife, a godly father, or a godly mother. They’re made in moments like this — one verse, one choice, one day at a time.
If this neighborhood feels like home, subscribe to the channel. That way, every day, you’ll have a reminder waiting — one more chance to open the Word and feed the good wolf.
Grace and peace to you and your home.
