It’s a beautiful day to be a neighbor.
Today’s Family Wins devotional reflects on 1 Thessalonians 4:3 — “It is God’s will that you should be sanctified.”
One teenage boy straightens his room every day without being asked. Another does it only after endless appeals from his parents. Either way, the room gets clean — but only one is the result of a right attitude. Abraham Kuyper drew a sharp line here that’s easy to blur: sanctification isn’t the same as good works. Sanctification is God’s work in us, giving us a holy disposition — it roots us like a tree. Good works are the fruit that a rooted tree produces. Confuse the two, Kuyper warned, and you’ll lead people astray. Let your roots go down deep into the One who can make your life a source of fruit for His glory.

A godly husband isn’t made in a day. Neither is a godly wife, a godly father, or a godly mother. They’re made in moments like this — one verse, one choice, one day at a time.

Grace and peace to you and your home.
