Episode 6: Where Your Heart Follows Your Time | 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 — Coach C’s Neighborhood

It’s a beautiful day to be a neighbor.

Today’s Family Wins devotional reflects on 1 Thessalonians 1:2-3 — “We always thank God for all of you, and continually mention you in our prayers. We remember before our God and Father your work produced by faith.”

Paul made a habit of opening his letters with gratitude, and the Thessalonians gave him plenty of reasons for it. Matthew Henry called thanksgiving to God a great duty, one to be performed constantly — not just for what He’s done for us, but for what He’s done in the lives of the people around us. Most of us could list what God has done in our own life pretty quickly. Could you do the same for a brother or sister in Christ? You could, if you’ve been carrying their burdens in prayer and celebrating their joys as your own. Where your time and energy are invested, there your heart will be also.

After you listen, go back and read 1 Thessalonians chapter 1 for yourself — open your devotional to page 684, pull up the app, or grab your free copy at mindwolves.com/tfw. Let God speak to you directly, in your own time, in your own home.

A godly husband isn’t made in a day. Neither is a godly wife, a godly father, or a godly mother. They’re made in moments like this — one verse, one choice, one day at a time.

If this neighborhood feels like home, subscribe to the channel. That way, every day, you’ll have a reminder waiting — one more chance to open the Word and feed the good wolf.

Grace and peace to you and your home.
