It’s a beautiful day to be a neighbor.
Today’s Family Wins devotional reflects on 1 Thessalonians 5:5 — “You are all children of the light and children of the day. We do not belong to the night or to the darkness.”
For the Christian, light and darkness aren’t just poetry — they represent the real conflict between the ways of God and the ways of the world. Charles Hodge described it well: light stands for knowledge, holiness, and happiness; darkness for ignorance, sin, and misery. The charge is simple to state and hard to live — don’t sink back into the world you were called out of. Live like someone who belongs to the Kingdom of Christ, marked by faith, hope, and charity. Jesus said it plainly: He is the light of the world, and whoever follows Him will never walk in darkness. Because of that light, you can see where you’re going, avoid the pitfalls, and follow the path of holiness — starting today.

A godly husband isn’t made in a day. Neither is a godly wife, a godly father, or a godly mother. They’re made in moments like this — one verse, one choice, one day at a time.
