The One who is in you is greater than the one who is in the world. Do you believe that? Do you see that?
Kindly let me offer affirmation that it is true. Because of it, you are able to become so much more than you are right now. You are called to use your earthbound talents for a heavenly purpose. Even if you don’t see it, believe it.
Another truth is you can’t accomplish it on your own. You need a helper. Someone to serve as mentor, teacher and friend. Someone who is yoked to the Holy Spirit so that you too can learn what it means to be yoked to the Spirit. Your life’s calling will be crafted with that alignment.
When two animals are yoked, they share the burden of work together. When you are yoked to a friend who shares your burden, then your load is lighter. You don’t have to do all the work yourself. Simply humble yourself and submit to their help. When that friend is yoked to the Holy Spirit, then you too become yoked to the Spirit, and thereby can learn to live life under the power and influence of the Holy Spirit.
Friendship with the Spirit is one of God’s greatest gifts to us. He speaks to us, is emotionally invested in our lives, helps us in our weakness and prays for us when we don’t have the words. He is our constant companion.
Be encouraged by these truths. In my own story, I’ve learned them to be true, and the coach in me desires to teach my kids, family, friends and neighbors so that they can experience it too.
