Neighborly Love Podcast, Episode 45 – Coach Dave Gray

Ordinary People. Extraordinary Conversations.

If “Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee” and “The Parable of the Good Samaritan” collided at an intersection, then the Neighborly Love podcast would be the result. It features casual conversations over coffee in a “virtual coffee shop” that lean into the power of empathy. It’s about feeling heard, valued, and understood. It’s about serving others. It’s about depositing money in our relational banks.

Neighborly Love is an original podcast by MindWolves. Host Marc Casciani, author of Craft Your Calling, interviews ordinary people about their hearts for God and serving others for the greater good.

Coach Dave Gray

Marc interviews Coach Dave Gray, founder of CDG Sports Events, a company driven to create positive experiences for youth across America. Coach Dave believes strongly that instilling confidence and building self-esteem in others is a sure-fire way to become the best version of yourself and truly make a positive impact in this world. He answers three thought-provoking questions: (1) Tell me about a time when you did something nice for someone?, (2) What would you do for a living if money weren’t an issue?, and (3) Do you have a dream that involves serving others? Coach Dave shares how he creatively sustained his passion to serve kids during the COVID pandemic when his business was unable to operate, tells how he is doing exactly what he would do if he didn’t have to worry about money, and reveals his dream of building Coach Dave’s Sports City emulating Roberto Clemente’s dream of using sports as a vehicle to lift up children. Just like Roberto, Coach Dave is driven by a higher calling to give kids purpose and direction in life.
